It is all fun and teams can be formed randomly on the night or you can arrive already organised - whatever suits you. Your memory will be helped by some nibbles and a festive drink, if you are so inclined.

A few years ago, Dave Hudson wrote a short paper on the Newport Yards to which you can link here. Since then, Dave and Geoff Culshaw have continued this work researching the Yards of Newport and the lives of some of the people who lived there. This talk promises to give a more detailed picture of the world they have uncovered and a fascinating insight into the life of Newport in the mid 19th Century.
